MOELLER 7   TURPIN  3

Moeller set the tone for the game early behind the strong pitching of Cam Porter.  Porter struck out the last batter in the first inning and then the next 6 batters he faced on the way to a total of 8 strikeouts in his 5 innings.  Max Tramontana and Nate Gaerke pitched the last 2 innings.  Keelan Daniel led off the game with a base hit to left field and moved up on a wild pitch.  Colin Berry singled home Daniel and Griff Cady Cady hit into a fielder's choice.  Zach Carty was hit by the pitch to load the bases. Moeller scored 2 more runs on back to back singles from Cam Porter and Colin Brandenburg.  Our 4th run came home on Seth Stephens ground out.  The crusaders scored their 5th run in the 3rd inning on Zach Carty's first of three hits and a double by Colin Brandenburg.   A walk to Colin Berry in the 6th inning followed by back to back doubles by Griff Cady and Zach Carty plated 2 more runs. Seth Stephens also had a 5th inning hit to post Moeller's 10th hit on the day.  The Moeller Freshman record is now 2-1.
