MOELLER 7   MASON 1

The doubleheader nightcap proved to be quite different than the first game.  The Moeller Frosh played great Moeller baseball both offensively, defensively, and pitching.  Mason scored first in the top of the 2nd inning with 2 outs they doubled and singled home their only run of the game off starter Jacob Masterson.  Masterson pitched 5 innings and Nate Gaerke pitched the last 2 innings. The duo did not walk a batter and struck out 7 between them.  Moeller scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning.  Jacob Masterson led off with a double. With 1 out Colin Berry singled home Masterson, Keelan Daniel lined a single, Hayden Nelson was hit by the pitched and Zach Carty singled home Berry and Daniel. Cam Porter then singled to score Nelson and Carty.  Moeller added 1 more run in the 3rd inning on Colin Berry's second hit of the game and Keelan Daniel's second hit.  Phillip Langenkamp, Colin Brandenburg, Hayden Nelson also collected hits in the game. The Moeller Freshman record is now 1-1.
