MOELLER 6 LAKOTA EAST 2 (SCRIMMAGE)
The 2019 addition of the Moeller Freshman Crusaders opened play with a scrimmage at the Blue Ash Sports Complex. With the temperature around 37 degrees, pitching and timely hitting carried the Crusaders to a 6-2 victory. The pitching staff held Lakota East to 1 sixth inning hit. Led by
Cam Porter, who got the start on the mound going 2 innings with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts.
PJ Kaylor followed throwing the next 1.1 innings with 1 walk, 3 strikeouts and 3 hit batters.
Ryan Benne finished the o6 inning game throwing the last 2.2 innings giving up 1 hit, with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. The Moeller bats set the tone early and often.
Keelan Daniel led off the game with a double to left.
Ian Johnston walked as did
Max Tramontana to load the bases. With 2 outs
Zach Carty lined a single to left scoring Daniel and Johnston.
Jacob Masterson bombed a double to score Tramontana with Moellers 3
rd run. Moeller added 2 more runs in the second inning.
Ryan Benne singled,
Keelan Daniel dropped down a bunt for a base hit sending Benne to third. Daniel stole second and scored with Benne when
Ian Johnston reached on an error to send Moeller up 5-0. Our 6
th run was scored on Carty's second hit, a Masterson walk and base hit by
Carter Woolfolk. Moeller's 7 hit attack was by,
