MOELLER 8    COLERAIN 6    (SCRIMMAGE)

Cam Porter, PJ Kaylor, and Ryan Benne put on a pitching performance of epic proportion today against the Colerain Cardinals.  The trio combined to record 16 of Colerain's outs by strikeout, while allowing only 1 hit.  Cam Porter was the starter going 3 innings giving up 1 earned run on 1 hit, 1 walk and 7 strikeouts.  PJ Kaylor tossed the next 2.2 innings of no-hit baseball with 2 walks, 6 strikeouts and 1 unearned run.   Ryan Benne closed the game striking out 3 of the 5 batters he faces with 1 walk.  The Crusaders bats were equally hot.  Keelan Daniel led off his third straight game with a line drive base hit (double).  After stealing third, Keelan scored on Griff Cady's sac fly.  Moeller never looked back.  The offense was led by Hayden Nelson's 2 hits as well as Max Tramontana's 2 doubles.  Others with hits were: Griff Cady, Keelan Daniel, and Collin Brandenburg.
